The solar-wind complementary water pumping system has officially commenced operation in Xichang Forestry --- Nanjing Oulu Electric contributes to the realization of "Dual Carbon" goals.
At the 75th session of the United Nations General Assembly, the President solemnly announced China’s goals of achieving "peak carbon emissions" and "carbon neutrality". In active response to this commitment and to fully support the realization of these "Dual Carbon" goals, Nanjing Oulu Electric has recently contributed its independently developed and manufactured solar-wind complementary water pumping system to the "Xichang City Lushan Emergency Rescue Capacity Enhancement, Forest Fire Prevention, and Afforestation Water Source Construction Project". This system can operate independently using photovoltaic power, grid power, or a complementary combination of both, demonstrating concrete action in advancing the "peak carbon" and "carbon neutrality" objectives.
The solar photovoltaic water pumping system deployed in this project consists of a photovoltaic array, a solar water pumping controller, and a solar water pump. It supports switching operations under load and, after a period of debugging and trial operation, has been officially handed over to the local forestry station. The system is currently operating stably with significant energy-saving results.
Working Principle:
The photovoltaic array converts solar radiation directly into electrical energy. The solar water pumping controller performs inversion, converting DC power into AC power, while also enabling frequency conversion control of the pump and maximum power point tracking (MPPT). The solar water pump is a multistage centrifugal pump with a wide high-efficiency operating range, equipped with a dedicated solar-driven motor.

The system offers strong long-term economic benefits, high flexibility, and broad applicability. It serves as a vital solution for providing electricity and water in remote off-grid areas, as well as an ideal water supply option for other regions and applications. It can be used for domestic and livestock water supply in villages, pastures, and households, and can also be integrated with water-saving irrigation techniques to support crop fields and artificial pastures. This brings significant economic and social benefits to modern agriculture in arid regions.
Energy is an essential material foundation for national economic development and the daily lives of people. The energy system based on fossil fuels such as coal, oil, and natural gas has greatly propelled the progress of human society. However, it has also brought severe environmental pollution and ecosystem degradation. The goals of “peak carbon emissions”, “carbon neutrality”, and the “3060 target” have ushered in a new era of low-carbon development. To contribute to these objectives, Nanjing Oulu Electric will continue to actively develop solar-wind complementary systems, hybrid renewable energy projects, and photovoltaic microgrid power generation initiatives — supporting the realization of “carbon peak” and “carbon neutrality” with concrete action.
