Harmonious Family, Shared Prosperity Dream
News Report (By Ju Ying)
Entering Oulu Electric Co., Ltd., one is immediately struck by the neat courtyard, diverse display boards, and orderly parked vehicles—all reflecting the company's profound corporate culture of "Integrity and Virtue, Excellence in Enterprise." Established in September 2007, the company specializes in industrial electrical equipment drive control, energy-saving technologies, and emerging energy generation equipment and control systems. As a high-tech enterprise integrating R&D, production, sales, and service, it holds independent import-export rights and self-clearing customs qualifications. General Manager Jiang Hua often says, "Running a business is essentially about managing people's hearts. Oulu is a family, and every employee is a brother or sister. We must respect, care for, and cherish our employees."
Books as a Bridge: Sparking Intellectual Exchange Among Staff
On February 22, employee Wang Jiakuan visited the staff library as usual, browsing the shelves. After picking up and putting back a book, he approached Jiang Qiuli, the company's union vice-chairperson. "Chairperson Jiang, I urgently need a book on product structural design. Could you help me find one?" "Of course," Jiang replied. "Write down the title for me. Zhu Shuiqing also needs a book on industrial control applications. I’ll make a trip to Nanjing to purchase both." Such requests are common at Oulu Electric, where employee needs are prioritized, and books are promptly acquired.
When asked about the staff library, Zhang Zhengtang, the company's union chairperson, shared that it has a dedicated librarian managing daily loan registrations. The library currently houses over 700 physical books and 142 e-books. Initially, employees spontaneously contributed their personal books, with more than 200 volumes donated from their homes. Among them, employee Yang Xiaoying, an avid reader, brought over 100 books to share with colleagues upon learning about the library's establishment. Since its inception, reading habits have flourished—some employees even borrow books for their children.
Beyond physical books, the company leverages a WeChat group for reading-sharing activities. Employees voice their unique insights on books and articles, sparking lively discussions. The group buzzes with messages and even celebratory red packets. Additionally, the company promotes reading campaigns, encouraging employees to "read more, read earnestly, and read well," applying their learnings to enhance work efficiency and performance.
Training as the Foundation: Empowering Employees with Knowledge
"7S Management Training, Warehouse Precision Management, Specialized Skills Training..." Before 2016 concluded, the company's leadership had already drafted a 36-item training plan for 2017. Zhang Zhengtang shared, "To meet future development needs and cultivate a high-quality workforce, the union organizes targeted training programs across various disciplines and levels."
Oulu Electric prioritizes both professional ethics and leadership development, integrating moral education into its training system. Embracing the ethos of 'Inclusivity Makes Greatness,' the company attracts global talent passionate about environmental causes, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Technical expertise and efficient management drive the company’s growth. Oulu offers dual career paths—employees can deepen their technical prowess or develop into versatile leaders with both technical and managerial skills. Regular road safety training further underscores the importance of compliance with traffic laws.
To inspire excellence, the company launched a "Compare, Learn, Compete, Help, Surpass" campaign in late 2016, honoring 19 outstanding employees. This initiative boosted morale and productivity, reinforcing corporate values.
Activities as Bonds: Harmony and Unity
"Working together is fate. Thank you for your dedication! On your birthday, we wish you joy and family happiness!" Each employee receives such a heartfelt card on their special day. Jiang Qiuli noted that these gestures—birthday gifts, communal lunches with longevity noodles—strengthen the familial bond within the company.
The union also enriches staff life through cultural and sports events, including radio gymnastics and public welfare activities like elderly care visits and blood drives. In 2016, the union made over 10 hospital visits to ailing family members, including Ye Shengyang from the precision workshop, delivering care packages and financial aid. An annual gala on January 20, 2017, celebrated employees’ dedication and achievements.
Zhang Zhengtang emphasized future goals: "We’ll continue serving the company and staff by fostering harmonious labor relations, enhancing union vitality, and mobilizing employees to contribute to breakthrough growth."
