发布时间:2019-07-05

This month is designated as the company's "Work Safety Month." To further enhance employees' fire safety awareness, disseminate essential fire safety knowledge, and improve their emergency response, self-protection, and evacuation capabilities, a fire safety emergency drill and observation session was jointly organized with the Nanjing Fire Training Center on the morning of July 5 at the Oulu Electric factory premises.

The drill was attended by company leadership, production department managers from divisions including frequency inverters, servo motors, and wind turbines, team leaders from the frequency inverter and wind turbine production departments, all warehouse staff, painting workshop employees, and all employees who joined the company after June 2018.

The drill established multiple emergency response teams with clear divisions of labor and close coordination. It was conducted in four key phases:

  1. Explanatory Briefing: Detailed the purpose, procedures, and precautions of the fire drill.

  2. Simulated Fire Drill: Activated fire alarms, organized employee evacuation, and guided escape routes.

  3. Fire Safety Training: Educated all employees on fundamental fire safety knowledge, including fire extinguisher usage precautions, essential fire escape techniques, proper fire alarm procedures, and daily fire safety management.

  4. Hands-On Demonstration: Provided comprehensive explanations and practical training on the use of fire hydrants and fire hoses.

Comrade Niu Litao from the Wind Turbine Production Division, upon detecting the simulated fire, immediately raised the alarm and notified other on-duty personnel. He activated the emergency fire button, triggering a sharp alarm sound across the factory premises accompanied by simulated smoke spreading overhead—marking the official start of the fire safety emergency drill.

Upon hearing the alarm, guides Zhang Qiang from the Wind Turbine Sales Department and Liu Xiaolian from the Frequency Inverter Production Division organized an orderly evacuation. All employees covered their mouths and noses, crouched low, and moved swiftly along stairwells to evacuate to an open designated safe area.

After reaching the safe zone, safety officers from each team promptly conducted headcounts and reported the numbers to leadership. Upon discovering one person was unaccounted for, they immediately organized a rescue operation, conducting a simulated exercise to locate and assist the "trapped" individual.

After mastering the correct operating procedures for fire extinguishers, all employees participated in an orderly and well-organized drill to practice using the equipment. Staff members actively engaged in the exercise and efficiently completed the task of simulating the suppression of an initial fire outbreak.

In addition to training on the proper use of fire extinguishers, this fire drill specifically included detailed explanations and operational guidance on fire hydrants and fire hoses. Participants were also arranged to practice disassembling and reassembling fire hydrants, as well as deploying and retrieving fire hoses.

The comprehensive fire safety emergency drill concluded successfully. Throughout the exercise, all participants maintained order and followed standardized procedures, demonstrating a clear understanding of how to prevent chaos and stampedes during evacuations. The commanders provided effective guidance, delivering vivid explanations with practical case studies and actionable content. Employees responded swiftly and seriously, completing all planned drill components and achieving the intended outcomes. Beyond acquiring essential fire safety knowledge and hands-on experience in fire suppression, the drill also strengthened their ability to respond decisively to emergencies and fostered a spirit of teamwork.

Many employees reflected after the drill that the professional instructors' detailed guidance would be immensely helpful in real-life scenarios—potentially life-saving when every second counts. Fire safety is no trivial matter, and it is crucial to firmly establish safety as the fundamental priority while enhancing a sense of responsibility for risk prevention. The exercise received unanimous recognition from company leadership and professional fire safety equipment providers.

Following the conclusion of the drill, company leadership and the chief commander emphasized:
"The purpose of fire drills is to prevent risks before they occur. While strengthening daily operational management, we must cultivate a genuine safety mindset focused on proactive prevention. The company has always treated safety as its top priority and placed production safety at the core of its operations.

We will continue to conduct regular annual fire safety training and drills to enhance all employees’ awareness of fire prevention, emergency response, and safety skills. These initiatives are designed to test the organization’s capabilities in fire safety management, emergency coordination, and practical response, thereby fostering a secure and harmonious working environment for all employees and fulfilling our social responsibilities."
