In early June, amid the pleasant early summer weather, a delegation of leaders and experts from the School of Information and Control Engineering at Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology (NUIST) visited our company for inspection and discussions on potential pathways to deepen industry-academia-research collaboration. The delegation included Dean Chen of the School of Information and Control, Professor Hu, and Director Tan from the Technology Transfer Center of the Office of Science and Technology Industry.

Prior to this visit, Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology (NUIST) had already designated Continental Electric as an official base for student employment and entrepreneurship. The decision to revisit Continental Electric reflects the university’s recognition of the company’s robust R&D capabilities, healthy growth trajectory, strong manufacturing expertise, and alignment with national industrial policies through its products and projects.

Of particular interest were Continental Electric’s wind turbines, energy-saving inverters, servo motors, servo drives, off-grid and grid-tied inverters, as well as wind-solar hybrid power generation systems—all of which demonstrate the company’s innovative and policy-responsive approach to clean energy technology.

During the discussions, Dean Chen and the delegation proposed several initiatives, including jointly establishing an R&D experimental center, setting up a master's student workstation, collaborating on fundamental technology and theoretical research, co-developing products, and appointing university-appointed chief engineers (or deputy engineers) to be stationed at the company. These proposals received positive and enthusiastic responses from Continental Electric’s leadership.

General Manager Jiang and Vice General Manager Yang emphasized that Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology, as a comprehensive university with strong academic capabilities, is located in close proximity to Nanjing Continental Electric. They noted that the university’s disciplines align closely with the industry and products Continental Electric focuses on, highlighting significant potential for collaboration.

Both sides agreed to enhance communication and interaction, and to initiate sincere and substantive cooperation as soon as possible. By leveraging their respective strengths and proceeding step by step, they expressed confidence in building shared initiatives and a common future.
