Have you learned how to check the frequency converter fault records? [Nanjing Oulu Electric]

发布时间:2021-05-17

During normal use of frequency converters, faults such as overvoltage, overcurrent, and overload may occur. To facilitate tracking of these faults, modern frequency converters are equipped with a function that allows users to view historical fault records, making it easier for operators to diagnose and perform repairs.

Since different manufacturers use different methods for accessing fault records, today we will demonstrate how to check fault records on frequency converters independently developed and produced by Nanjing Oulu Electric Co., Ltd. The following steps outline the process — let's learn together:

Before operating, please note that the corresponding instruction manual for the frequency converter contains function codes related to fault types. By adjusting parameters, you can retrieve records of the "first fault," "second fault," and "third fault" — such as overcurrent, overvoltage, and overload — as shown in Figure 1 below:

The third fault type refers to the most recent fault occurrence. Let's learn how to view the record of the latest fault type:
First press PRG to display P0 (as shown in Figure 2),
Then press the Up key to change to P9 (as shown in Figure 3),
(P9 represents the "Faults and Protection" function code),
Then press DATA, and use the Up key to set the parameter to P9-16 (as shown in Figure 4).
Press DATA again, the panel will display 09 (as shown in Figure 5).
By referring to the instruction manual, we can identify the fault type:
"09" indicates "Undervoltage", meaning the most recent fault was an undervoltage condition.

Next, we will continue to check the fault records for P9-18, P9-19, and P9-20.
Operation steps:
Continue pressing the DATA key to display P9-17,
Use the Up key to set the parameter to P9-18,Press DATA again — the displayed value indicates the "current during the most recent fault record";
Press DATA to display P9-19,
Press DATA again — the displayed value indicates the "bus voltage during the most recent fault record";
Press the DATA key to display P9-20,
Then press PRG twice to return to the main interface.
